5 minute makeovers

  • Add some tarragon leaves to your sausages while cooking, it makes a subtle but sublime difference. Serve with caramelised onions.
  • Add a sprinkle of paprika and chilli flakes to your vegetable soup
  • Easy but impressive garnishes:
    • shred long chillies and 5cm lengths of spring onions (the white bit) but leaving the tops attached. Soak in a bowl of iced water so that the ends curl up.
    • Freeze berries and other fruit in water in ice cube trays to serve in summer drinks
